Winemaking | With a selection of 100% Old Vine grapes, approximately 70 years old. The grapes were delivered to the winery in the morning, when temperatures are at their lowest, and were placed in the pneumatic press. Long pressing cycles at low pressure enabled careful extraction for a rich must. Decanting was shorter than usual, which helped maintain the complexity of the medium. Fermentation took place in new French oak barrels in a temperature-controlled cellar
Aging | 16 months in French oak barrels during which only one racking took place immediately after malolactic, the final batch was made. After bottling, there was at least another 14 months of aging in bottle at controlled temperatures, before marketing

Technical notes | With a tear and intense red color, this wine shows a deep elegance in the nose that comes from the marriage between ripe fruit and excellent wood. In the mouth it reveals a deep and smooth attack, with an unctuous and harmonious presence
