It is with great pride that we inform you that 1143 by WWS white has been awarded Market Choice – at Best Whites from Portugal Contest 2022.
Organized by Grandes Escolhas magazine, a competition exclusively dedicated to the best white wines from Portugal. The judges for this event are selected from among professional buyers: restaurants, sommeliers, wine shops, wine bars, large and medium-sized shoppers and other purchasing managers.
This wine was produced with grapes of the traditional white varieties Fernão Pires and Malvasia Fina from schist lands and are picked at their optimum point of maturation, preserving all their virtues and qualities.
On the nose, it is an intense and fruity wine, enhancing the profile of fresh citrus fruit where grapefruit and papaya notes predominate, complemented with green lemon leaf.
In the mouth, it is a very balanced, fresh and persistent wine with citrus notes, very lively minerals and excellent acidity.
A fresh, unctuous and elegant set revealing an excellent balance, ending with a long tasting finish.
It is perfect to go with starters and fish and seafood dishes or even grilled white meats.
